Scheduling & Volunteer Coordinator – Full Time
Good Shepherd Homecare & Hospice has been the trusted source for compassionate care, serving Manhattan and surrounding communities for over 40 years. We are excited to announce an opportunity for a positive and caring professional to join our team as our Scheduling & Volunteer Coordinator!
We currently have an opening for a full time Scheduling & Volunteer Coordinator responsible for the coordination and management of all scheduling activity for our Certified Home Health Aide and Volunteer team to ensure adequate support and care delivery to the clients we serve.
Our Scheduling & Volunteer Coordinator works closely with our Home Care Coordinator, Clinical Coordinator and RN Case Managers to schedule CNA/CHHA’s for personal care visits under our Hospice at Home, Palliative Home Health and Home Care Programs. This team member also oversees our volunteer team and gets to connect our outstanding team of trained volunteers with the clients and families we serve who may be in need of companionship, respite or transportation assistance.

The role of our Scheduling & Volunteer Coordinator includes:
- Scheduling CNA/CHHA visits according to each client’s care plan.
- Oversee the CNA/CHHA monthly schedule at the Good Shepherd Hospice House.
- Welcome new volunteers to our organization.
- Lead hospice training sessions for new volunteers, and ongoing training sessions for current volunteers.
- Work closely with our volunteer team to pair them with clients in need of companionship, respite or transportation support.
Qualifications for our Scheduling & Volunteer Coordinator:
- A friendly and caring approach to work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proactive and reactive problem solving skills.
- Ability to positively interact with team members.
Education and Experience:
- Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
- At least two years’ work experience in a scheduling position, or health care setting preferred.
- Personal history of volunteerism is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
