WE Transport is immediately hiring School Bus Drivers for our Bridgeport, CT location.

What We Offer: FLEXIBILITY

• Operate school buses to transport authorized passenger to and from school programs safely and promptly following prescribed route(s).
• Assess traffic and road conditions, and monitor student behavior and other factors as necessary.
• Follow all state and federal traffic laws while operating a vehicle. Adhere to DOT and state safety and district requirements and standards while operating a yellow school bus.
• Maintain proper CDL and state school bus certifications, including adhering to state and federal guidelines regarding criminal, medical, drug test, and driving records.
• Assist passengers onto and off the vehicle when necessary.
• Perform daily pre and post-trip vehicle inspections and safety checks as required by company standards and state guidelines.

Job Requirements

• Drivers must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a valid CT Driver’s License for a minimum of 3 years, with a clean history.
• Must pass a criminal history background check and physical.

WE Transport has been a respected Long Island school bus operator since 1959. During the past five decades, we have provided our Nassau and Suffolk customers — and more recently Connecticut, Westchester, and New York City customers — with transportation for home-to-school, parochial, private, special needs riders, and pre-school children.
