Position Summary
Devoted Educational Solutions School Psychologists conduct psycho-educational assessments, provide consultative services to students, school personnel and parents, and develop collaborative relationships with school teams and DES colleagues on matters pertaining to school-based psychological services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Observe students remotely/through distance learning platform and conduct in-person psycho-educational assessments and evaluations; review and interpret student assessments and records; develop educational recommendations for Special Education disabilities, disorders and other student needs
- Foster interdisciplinary involvement (teachers, principals, learning specialists, directors, nurses, etc.) in the solution of students' educational and social needs.
- Provide consultation to teachers and parents to support students with remote/distance learning based on their strengths and weaknesses.
- Assist in in-service education in the area of guidance, behavior modification and curriculum development.
- Assist in the evaluation of individual and group test data; help schools utilize item analyses of results to recommend curricular modification and remediation for individual student needs.
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities Required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong speaking, writing, and listening skills and the ability to work as a collaborative and supportive team member
- Knowledge of a variety of appropriate cognitive, adaptive, and social-emotional assessment battery to identify students with special needs in the K-6 setting
- Knowledge of appropriate modifications and/or accommodations and interventions to employ within the classroom setting
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate curriculum and how to adapt the curriculum to meet student needs
- Knowledge of special education laws, policies and procedures
- Ability to work effectively with all racial, ethnic, linguistic, disability, and socioeconomic groups
Qualifications
- Valid California Pupil Personnel Services Credential ~ School Psychology
- Master’s Degree
- Minimum two years experience
- Department of Justice fingerprint clearance
- TB test result required
- COVID-19 Vaccination and proof of vaccination required
Highly Desired
- Bilingual (Spanish) desired
- Experience using the Welligent Special Education database
- Personal qualities: Team player, prompt, flexible, organized
- Reasoning ability: Able to plan, initiate tasks, and problem solve
- Flexibility to work on Saturday to complete initial and triennial assessments
Compensation
- Independent contract: $70/hour

At this time, we are seeking a part-time school psychologist to assist in conducting high quality psycho-educational assessments.
