Job Title: Scottville Branch Manager
The Mason County District Library is finalizing a reorganization and strategic planning process and is seeking applications for the position of Scottville Branch Manager.
Salary Range of $36,000 - $45,000 based on experience for this full-time, nonexempt position scheduled for 35 hours weekly. Benefits include paid holidays, sick leave, vacation, health insurance, and defined benefit retirement plan.
Under the direction of the Library Director, oversees the operation of the Scottville branch of the Mason County District Library, including maintaining high level of service to the public, supervising Branch staff, and maintaining the Branch building. This employee will participate in the administration, budgeting and planning for the Mason County District Library.
Position Requirements:
- Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s preferred.
- Management experience required.
- Library experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Ability to travel between locations.

The Mason County District Library serves a rural population of 28,000. The Library has two branches, in Ludington & Scottville, to serve the residents of Mason County. We are wrapping up Strategic Planning and are ready to achieve our Vision for the next five years. Mason County is located on the Lake Michigan shoreline, with a range of outdoor and cultural amenities, and is located within easy driving distance of Muskegon, Grand Rapids, and Traverse City.
