Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Security Manager 2 to join our team of talented and diverse individuals at our Merritt Island, FL location.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Manage day-to-day Security operations of the facility.
- Develops, and administers security programs and procedures for classified satellite launch campaigns.
- Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations.
- Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies as they relate to classified launch campaigns.
- Create Security documentation for launch campaigns including CONOPS, access rosters, specialized training, and transportation plans.
Basic Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret security clearance.
- 10 Years of related experience with Bachelors; or 8 Years of related experience with Masters; an additional 4 years of applicable work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
- Familiarity with satellite launch operations including, payload processing, encapsulation, transportation and launch operations.
- Experience planning and administering Security for classified launch campaigns.
- Ability to create necessary documentation to support a classified launch including CONOPS, Access control Plans, and transportation plans.
- Experience with Cape Canaveral Space Force Station access control and badge issuance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to effectively engage with team members on task completion.
- Ability to recognize opportunities and take independent action at resolving challenges.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong skills in team building.
- Experience with Kennedy Space Center access control and badge issuance requirements.
- Experience with United Launch Alliance, Space X, United States Space Force and Astrotech Space Operations Security and Facilities on Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and Kennedy Space Center.
