SECURITY STAFF
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or G.E.D. Preferred two years’ experience in the field of security. Experience working with troubled youth as a volunteer or intern in a social service, residential, educational or institutional setting preferred. Any educational or experiential qualifications to be considered as equivalent, in lieu of the above minimums will require prior approval by the CEO, executive director, or designee. Must be 21 years or older. Must be able to pass Criminal History check including FBI fingerprint and background check. Must pass all pre-employment contingencies including post-offer pre-employment alcohol and drug test.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Patrolling and monitoring activities on the company premises regularly to ensure clients have not left the facility without permission or any persons have accessed the facility unknowingly.
- Contacting the Bexar County Sheriff's Office if any trespassers or unauthorized visitors are found on the premises.
- Notifying management of any clients that have left the premises without permission.
- Contacting Bexar County Sheriff’s Office for any clients leaving the premises without permission.
- Providing detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents that may have occurred during shift involving clients.
- Utilizing provided communication devices in a clear and concise manner checking on Night Watch staff during the course of the shift.
- Performing CPR or first aid when needed.
- Responsible for remaining awake while the youth are sleeping.
- Serve as a positive role model to both youth
- Provide youth supervision and maintain appropriate documentation
- Report all inadequacies in provision of service to youths as specified by Guiding Light and contract guidelines
- Prepare and submit documentation and reports within required timelines
- Keep management informed of all observations made
- Provide crisis intervention for youths
- Attend and participate in training, workshops and in-services provided by Guiding Light or outside agencies, as requested
- Maintain confidentiality in all areas of youth and program operations
- Maintain professional and ethical standards as prescribed by Guiding Light.
- Comply with the agency and program and policy procedure manual
- Comply with all Licensing Standards as well as funding source guidelines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
