1:1 Part-time Support Staff Need - (JOB # SS-WP)
Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in the Liverpool area with a young man with autism. He and his family are looking for a dedicated DSP to provide support and assist him with working on goals, both at home and in community settings.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: accompanying and supporting him during community outings; assisting him to pursue his hobbies and interests; assisting him to gain independent living skills; assisting him to increase and maintain his communication and social skills and providing transportation, as needed.
We are looking for individuals who are reliable, patient, and enthusiastic. Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities a plus. Reliable vehicle and a valid NYS driver's license are required. Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency.
Hours: Approximately 15 hours per week to start; flexible schedule to be agreed upon with the family. Additional hours may be available in the future.
Pay rate: $20.00 per hour
