We are looking for a Seller Acquisition Manager who can shape how Jane finds, researches, meets, and build relationships with new sellers. You’ll be supported in challenging convention, taking risks, and innovating. Where you can be yourself, do your best work, and have a meaningful impact on people across the globe. Responsibilities

    • Key areas of focus: Identifying, targeting, sourcing, acquiring, and onboarding sellers and monitoring their success on Jane.
    • Set goals for the team and the company around the new business on Jane.
    • Partner with merchants on product gaps, emerging categories and new business opportunities.
    • Ability to create strategic pitch decks for brands/sellers to ensure we are telling our brand story and “why” Jane in a clear, concise, compelling manner.
    • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual performance targets for the number of sellers, GMV, and product/category.
    • Source brands/new sellers through targeted prospecting via phone, email, social media, referrals, in-person, conferences, etc.
    • Lead strategic planning regarding new seller engagement marketing initiatives.
    • Gather, plan, analyze, and execute business cases around new seller acquisition.
    • Create processes to elevate and streamline new seller transitions.
    • Develop and implement initiatives to ensure all sellers are vetted and high quality.
    • Diagnose root cause of new sellers' performance, and create actionable plans for operational and business improvements.
    • Conduct deep-dive analysis on issues affecting business performance and provide the voice of new sellers as an input into product development and process improvement.
    • Identifying new opportunities to identify improvements to our products, internal tools, and processes in order to drive efficiency and scale across internal teams and to grow our business with external new sellers.
    • Coach and develop a team of 3-5 people, responsible for acquisition and onboarding.
    • Lead weekly sales team meetings.

Qualifications

    • At least 5+ years of experience with at least 3+ years of sales team management experience
    • A strong background in sales to effectively identify potential sellers, evaluate their offerings, and develop strategies to acquire them.
    • Negotiation skills to persuade potential sellers to join the company, negotiate favorable terms, and close deals.
    • Analytical abilities to evaluate seller data, market trends, and other factors to identify potential acquisition targets and develop effective strategies.
    • Competence in relationship-building to build and maintain strong relationships with potential sellers and other stakeholders to facilitate successful acquisitions.
    • Strategic mindset to develop long-term acquisition strategies that align with the company’s overall goals.
    • Deep industry knowledge and an understanding of retail, e-commerce, and the general market to effectively identify potential sellers and evaluate their offerings.
    • Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with potential sellers, company executives, and other stakeholders.
    • Strong project management skills to manage the acquisition process from start to finish and ensure successful integration of new sellers into the company.
    • Capable of working as a team effectively with other departments within the company, such as legal, finance, merchandising, seller experience, creative, and marketing, to ensure successful acquisitions.
    • Adaptability to the changing market conditions, seller needs, and other business factors to facilitate new seller success.
    • Demonstrable track record of new sales acquisition success.
    • Experience with Microsoft, Confluence, and HubSpot.
    • Willingness to travel as needed.
