Rize Home, LLC is seeking a dynamic candidate to fill our Senior Accountant position. The ideal candidate for this role must possess a positive, energetic approach to working in a highly collaborative environment.
As a leader within the finance team, reporting directly to the Treasurer, this position will require proven accounting and leadership skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment by owning and managing the financial control and close activities of the controllership function. The Senior Accountant will be required to drive initiatives, identify new process improvement opportunities, and provide performance coaching and development for the finance team.
As a Senior Accountant, Here’s What You’ll Do:
- Oversee the monthly “close” including account reconciliation processes to maintain integrity of general ledger and its supporting sub-systems. Create necessary journal entries for activities not captured or nor completely captured by company’s ERP.
- Develop period close schedule.
- Establish, monitor and maintain a system of internal controls that safeguards company asset and provides for integrity and propriety of financial transactions and activities.
- Implement best general ledger accounting practices.
- Review, analyze and evaluate financial data and information for accuracy, consistency and transparency.
- Interpret, implement and monitor corporate policies and procedures, ensure financials are reported in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and local statutory requirements.
- Monitor and report purchase commitments and spending for all capital programs.
- Manage hiring, training and development of financial staff.
- Ensure that an organization meets the necessary tax, permit and licensing requirements.
- Provide external auditors with the necessary documentation and support.
- Participate in the strategic planning process.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
The Successful Senior GL Accountant Candidate Will Have:
- CPA or CMA certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting
- Minimum four (4) years of professional experience in Accounting with experience supervising staff and financial reporting in a multi-location manufacturing and distribution environment
- High competency with Microsoft Office
- High competency with NetSuite
- Demonstrated leadership and staff development capabilities
- Sound working Knowledge of GAAP, Cost Accounting Standards, LIFO Inventory and local Statutory requirements
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities often with demanding time constraints
- Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to motivate and help direct the organization; exhibits managerial courage in defending a position and handling conflict
- Strong change management leadership skills required to drive environment of continuous improvement

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
