The Senior Accounts Payable Accountant’s responsibilities include all A/P functions (invoice processing, T&E reports, g/l analyses and reconciliations, vendor and management liaison responsibilities). The A/P Specialist is responsible for the daily processing of company business transactions to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate financial and administrative operations. The A/P Specialist will work independently to maintain and run the A/P system for various international entities and the HQ in the US, execute a high volume of tasks, build relationships across the firm, and lead special projects and reporting initiatives.
What You Will Do:
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable processing in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with company policies.
- Provide top-quality assistance and support to all internal teams/departments and external vendors.
- Maintain and organize the process of invoice booking: promptly secure all necessary approvals and appropriate coding while meeting high standards of accounting accuracy.
- Review and audit expense reporting for receipts and proper GL coding including corporate credit card expenses.
- Execute payments via check, wire, and ACH promptly through the bank platform.
- Assist with month-end closing, reconciling AP and T&E ledger with general ledger.
- Prepare and enter journal entries as needed.
- Proactively investigate and resolve outstanding vendor invoice issues.
- Manage the process of onboarding and maintenance of vendors.
- Maintain systems and provide feedback on improvement opportunities.
- Assist with audit requests, preparation of 1099’s, and other ad-hoc tasks.
- Operate under limited guidance and work independently to quickly resolve payment related matters
What You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- 5 + years of related work experience required, accounting experience preferred
- Knowledge of NetSuite is preferred
- Knowledge of expense reimbursement platforms such as Chrome River is preferred
- Must take initiative and be highly organized with attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize work, consistently meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
What We Offer:
The annual base salary range for this position is $ 75,000-$83,000. Additionally, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance.You will also be eligible for the following benefits:
