This is a temporary grant funded position with a limited 1-year term ending on June 30, 2024 and is renewable based upon availability of funding, work performance, and progress toward goals. This position is housed within the HRSA funded Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) Innovation and Improvement Center (EIIC). The incumbent will coordinate national steering committee projects and activities for the National Pediatric Readiness Project and National Prehospital Pediatric Readiness Project. These programs are focused on promoting timely, integrated, and equitable pediatric emergency care on a national level, and specifically addresses disparities in health care access for children. The EMS for Children Program drives national efforts to integrate evidence-based guidelines into clinical practice. This position will oversee, coordinate and plan organizational aspects of the steering committees including scheduling and planning meetings, content development, agenda development, meeting facilitation, and communications. It will also track and monitor program activities and progress, as well as work with Emergency Medical Services for Children family of investments and the Pediatric Pandemic Network to ensure alignment of priorities and coordination of activities.
The position will have either an onsite (Austin- based) or remote work arrangement. Pre-approval on state eligibility during the offer process will be required for remote work. Remote work will require reliable internet access and a suitable workspace free from distractions.
Purpose
This position will manage National Pediatric Readiness Project and National Prehospital Pediatric Readiness Projects with support from internal staff, subject matter experts across national professional organizations, and federal entities. He/she will also participate in other EIIC-led activities, relevant to these programs, with a focus on improving our nation’s emergency care systems (hospital and prehospital care) to better meet the needs of children.
Responsibilities

Coordinate the administrative elements of the National Pediatric Readiness Project and Prehospital Pediatric Readiness Project led by the National Emergency Medical Services for Children Innovation and Improvement Center.

Completion of annual performance reports for Program-specific activities.
-
May prepare or participate in the preparation of agendas, meeting minutes, and other written material and documentation as required.

May prepare or participate in the preparation of core content including toolkits, checklists, and other resource materials.
-
Oversee communication and scheduling with Steering Committees.
-
Track program activities and progress.
-
Manage scheduling of core team activities and agenda items.
-
Interface with the public and multi-disciplinary teams.
-
Support updates to the Program website as needed.
-
Maintain attention to detail and error free communication.
-
This position may be virtual in nature requiring travel infrequently. The individual will need to function well independently as well as a team.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Communications and Marketing, Public Health or a related field. Five (5) years of relevant work experience experience coordinating or administering a program. Collaborative, team player. Excellent communication skills among professionals and public. Experience with grant and/or contract funded projects as well as working with grant/contract offices. Experience in coordinating stakeholder/Advisory Board meetings. Experience in compliance reporting. Excellent knowledge in virtual meeting platforms, word, excel and basic data tracking programs and project management tools. Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Communications, Public Health or in a related field. More than five (5) years of relevant work experience. Knowledge or experience with the Emergency Medical Services for Children Program. Knowledge of clinical settings especially emergency departments and/or EMS systems. Working knowledge of medical vocabulary terms. Knowledge of the patient care experience in health care settings. Prior experience working in emergency care, pediatric care, public health, or public policy. Experience with grant management, document preparation, meeting facilitation, and project planning. Knowledge of REDCap.
Salary Range
$50,500 + depending on qualifications
