The Cell Manufacturing team is looking for a data-driven front-end software engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for developing front-end software for a variety of platforms and applications which includes Equipment HMI, SCADA and DCS, Preventive Maintenance Systems, PLC Version Control Systems, Mass Deployment Tools, Machine Learning Tools and Virtual Commissioning. You will be working on cutting edge technology for the Manufacturing Industry. You will be releasing modules and libraries that will be used in Tesla Manufacturing production environment.
As a front-end software automation engineer, your primary responsibility will include all aspects of software development, from design and analysis to development, implementation and maintenance. You will work closely with the Equipment Controls Automation, Production Support and Data Analytics Teams to implement new product features, improve existing product features, while adding performance and software quality metrics to the codebase. You will work with project managers and technical teams, in a multi-functional environment, to implement quality products that meet the business goals.
- 5+ years of professional web applications development experience
- 2+ years of experience with web services (consuming or creating) with React
- Expert understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and JSON/XML best-practices
- Strong understanding of TypeScript and the latest ECMAScript standards
- Strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility and troubleshooting
- Strong understanding to optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
- Experience with one or more of industry leading data analytics and visualization tools
- Familiarity in one or more backend major programming language such as Java, C#, Python
- Demonstrate a good understanding of software fundamentals including software design, algorithm development, data structures, code modularity, and maintainability
- Experience working in a team environment with agile methodologies and Git source control
- Experience with SQL databases required with a good understanding of organizing data
- Strong attention to detail with ability to work on multi-functional projects
- BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience
