Job Description
The US Oncology Network within McKesson’s US Pharmaceutical (USP) Segment is seeking to accelerate the impact and outcomes of our businesses by bringing on a Senior Business Analyst.
The US Oncology Network (USON) is the largest community oncology network in the US with ~1,500 providers. It cares for >1.2M patients annually, or ~15% of the US cancer population. USON partners with physicians to support them in providing the best integrated care to cancer patients close to their homes.
Position Description
The Strategic Initiatives team is an internal consulting function within McKesson’s US Oncology Network that partners with Network, Operations, and functional leadership to execute Network strategic imperatives of growth, optimization, and innovation through Network-wide programs.
The Senior Business Analyst will play a key role in the development, analysis, and interpretation of broad data sets into meaningful and impactful data tools. Partnering closely with cross functional stakeholders and business leaders, you will have a relentless focus on outcomes and the creation of value to McKesson, providers, and patients through the successful execution of the programs and analytics this team leads. This role will lead development of our data infrastructure and tools, partnering with technology, business, and analytics leaders to support the build of data driven, actionable recommendations supported with sustainable reporting packages.
The ideal candidate will be curious, analytical, and confident, with a natural drive to fulfill immediate project requirements for the benefit of our colleagues, practices, and patients. A genuine passion for analytics and data engineering, combined with relationship-building and communication will be key to success. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking while having a relentless focus on delivering meaningful and tangible value for our stakeholders and the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Support of data warehousing, DataMart, and business intelligence environment.
- Design, develop, implement, schedule and debug ETL/ELT processes and solutions.
- Resolve issues in workflows, mappings, stored procedures, and/or data pipelines.
- Cleansing and wrangling data to prepare for analysis including data lineage capture.
- Maintain digital assets/solutions across the business unit including Snowflake, Alteryx workflows, and Tableau.
- Develop effective working relationships with internal clients and colleagues.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- 2+ years of data engineering, analytics, infrastructure, etc.
Critical Skills
To be successful in this role, a candidate should have demonstrated:
- Technical Capabilities: strong proficiency in SQL and one additional programming language (Python/R); knowledge in creating functions and stored procedures; experience with Snowflake; understanding of data modeling and schema design.
- Analytical Rigor: Brings structure to imperfect data and intellectual leadership to problem solving.
- Communications Skills: Translates data and technical requirements for non-technical business leadership; Generates and executes creative ideas to making data and insights more accessible and engaging.

Additional Skills
- Business and Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial modeling and experience with financial planning, business process, and SG&A functions (e.g., HR, Finance, IT).
- Organizational Awareness: Makes connections across workstreams and matrixed organizations.
- Project Management: Experience successfully managing a cross-functional or cross-departmental team on a complex project.
- Healthcare industry experience is a plus, but not required.
Education
- Undergraduate degree in technology, data science, analytics, healthcare, or similar fields of study is required.
Working Conditions
- Able to travel overnight domestically 20% of the time.
- Hybrid/Remote work environment – Irving, TX or Columbus, OH Hub Locations.
