Senior Carrier Sales Representative (Brokerage) (Job Number: 2306223 )

Position Summary:

This position will use their industry experience to develop, maintain, and grow relationships between carriers and Penske Logistics. Actively source new carrier capacity and maintain relationships with accounts. Be strategic in efforts to cover freight with consistent carrier relationships and uphold Penske’s commitment to service.

Major Responsibilities:

• Prospects carriers to further develop the carrier portfolio and make recommendations of available capacity to fulfill customer’s needs and requirements
• Build and manage relationships with Carrier clients and handle escalations from carriers and account managers
• Monitor margin, volume metrics, and collaborate internally to develop new opportunities and grow current business
• Onboard new carriers to handle dedicated accounts and serve as a mentor to other Carriers Sales Representative
• Other projects and tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred. If no degree, equivalent work experience is required
• 3 years of experience in Carrier Sales
• Strong organization and attention to detail required
• Must have excellent sales and negotiation skills
• Business acumen and ability to think strategically required
• Must have the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers
• Ability to function well in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment required
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
