The company manufactures pharmaceutical products to assist physicians with their patients in the areas of dermatology and plastic surgery. The medications are customized to meet the needs of patients that are unable to tolerate commercially available medications.

Sr QC Chemistry - Job Summary

• This is a Direct Hire with excellent benefits.
• Salary range is: $70 - $72/K
• Location: Pompano Beach, Fl.
• Not a remote position, is to work on site

Under general supervision execute responsibilities in accordance with applicable regulations, company specifications, procedures, and company standards.

The Sr. QC Chemist will work with QC management to select analytical instrumentation and technology as needed. Assist on the establishment of laboratory systems.

Will work along with QC Laboratory members in the analysis and documentation of raw materials, in-process, and finished goods, support in the selection analytical instrumentation, assist on the establishment of laboratory systems, develop procedures and conduct investigations.

Will support on the writing of Laboratory Incidents and investigations as needed.

Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a highly collaborative, team oriented, customer focused environment. Assist in continuous improvement of laboratory processes.

Sr QC Chemist - Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Trouble shooting, calibrates and maintained laboratory instrumentation as per established procedures.
• Supports QC lab activities for continuous operations.
• Data documentation and review. Performs releases of Lots as applicable.
• Performs testing, tasks, and documentation in support of Validation Studies including Process Validation, Instrument Validation, Method Validation, and development of analytical methods.
• Performs testing required for raw materials, in-process and finished product following written procedures and applicable pharmacopeias. Prepares samples for shipment to contract laboratories as applicable.
• Provides training, technical expertise, mentorship and support to QC Chemists.
• Performs activities within the assigned timelines and in compliance with cGMP's, regulatory requirements and company practices and procedures
• Supports activities to maintain the laboratory status of compliance to FDA/regulatory standards
• Writes and/or review laboratory investigations and deviations.
• Monitors project status and proactively communicates to supervisor potential delays and challenges
• Promotes safe operating and working procedures. Counsels and trains QC Chemistry employees in safety awareness, ensuring that safety devices, equipment and personal protective equipment are used as required.
• Works in coordination with other departments
• Assists during internal and external audits.
• Participates in cross-training in QA and QC areas of responsibility.

Sr QC Chemist - Experience & Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry or related science with a minimum of 10 years hands on experience or equivalent mix of education and experience including strong wet chemistry, chromatography, HPLC and spectroscopy background.
• In-depth working knowledge of laboratory equipment and troubleshooting issues.
• Critical thinking, able to identify and solve scientific problems
• In-depth knowledge of the critical functions/variables of the analytical techniques, and proven ability to troubleshoot methods is also require
• Experience with data acquisition software is required
• Knowledge of GMPs including 21 CFR parts 210 and 211 and 503B of the FD&C Act, a plus
• Experienced with chromatographic data systems and data management systems.
• Proven multi-tasking ability with a capability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced work environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
