Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Analyzes internal and external data to assess trends and develop actionable insights and recommendations to management by understanding the business and the information available for analysis. Primary focus of analysis will be in Claims, but can expand into other areas including but not limited to Operations and Wellness.
Exhibits strong knowledge of business information data sources used to gain new insights and understanding of business performance based on data
Formulates and defines scope and objectives of projects through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business solutions and business requirements:
Analyzes, identifies and writes detailed description of requirements, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify programs.
Makes recommendations for business process improvements with an understanding of technical problems and solutions as they relate to the technology needs.
Creates and tests ad hoc reports.
Exhibits comprehensive business knowledge and leverages strong customer relationships
Estimates the economic impact of operational decisions
Applies quantitative skills to solve business issues and communicates results
Leads moderately complex to complex projects
May have supervisory responsibilities.
Performs other duties as assigned
Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
Field of Study: Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline
Experience: 5 or more years of related experience working with data and application software
Scope of Job:
Performs work with moderate technical skills and under limited supervision
Leads effort on moderately complex projects using moderately complex technical skills
Demonstrates technical knowledge with a variety of concepts within the discipline
Possess knowledge of claims business processes, claims data sources, and company systems and databases
