The Senior Community Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management for the combined total of 91-units for Carmelita, Doricourt, and Foster Building Apartments located in Portland, OR. The Senior Community Manager is also tasked with the direct oversight of Supervising Community Managers at other properties. This position involves supervising and managing more than two direct reports, marketing, maintaining property integrity, screening prospective residents, collecting rents, serving notices, developing reports, and preparing agreements.

Salary: $60,320.00 - $62,400.00 (DOE)

FLSA: Exempt

Office Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Responsibilities of the Senior Community Manager

  • Manage all aspects of assigned properties including the appearance, inventory, cleanliness, maintenance, marketing and profitability of the property, meeting and exceeding the expectations of the Portfolio Manager, and keeping within all company policies.
  • Recruit, supervise, assign work, appraise performance, train, discipline, resolve conflict, and address complaints for all onsite staff at assigned properties including the property managers.
  • Perform all job functions for any position when necessary.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all residents, applicants, employees, vendors, and coworkers.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee files including attendance records.
  • Work within the approved annual budget.
  • Develop positive relationships with property owner and Portfolio Manager, providing strong customer service, and promoting resident relations through organizing parties and activities when appropriate.

Requirements:

Requirements for the Senior Community Manager

  • Two (2) years of previous Property Manager experience is required.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong marketing skills to competitively market the property.
  • Strong supervisory and organizational skills with the ability to lead and direct others.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills including demonstrated knowledge of cell phone use including phone calls, email, texting, and photographs.
  • Able to speak, write, read, and comprehend English.
  • Basic math skills with the ability to perform bookkeeping tasks involving collecting rent, preparation of reports, agreements, etc.
  • Computer proficient and able to learn company software programs.
  • Understand and administer landlord/tenant laws, State and Federal Labor Laws, and Fair Housing Laws and refrain from all illegal discrimination practices.
  • Reliable transportation to travel between properties.
