About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Data Management Analyst to join the Corporate Risk Data Management & Governance organization in delivering the Corporate Risk Data Strategy and the Data Management Policy and Procedure.

The role will primarily focus on collaboration and coordination among data domains, product teams, other line of business data leaders and application business owners. The role will require strong organizational and multi-tasking skills as well as collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead or participate in moderately complex programs and initiatives for data quality, governance, and metadata activities
  • Design and conduct moderately complex analysis to identify and remediate data quality, data integrity, process, and control gaps
  • Analyze, assess, and test data controls and data systems to ensure quality and risk compliance standards are met and adhere to data governance standards and procedures
  • Identify data quality metrics and execute data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality
  • Develop recommendations for optimal approaches to resolve data quality issues and implement plans for assessing the quality of new data sources leveraging domain expertise and data, business, or process analysis to inform and support solution design
  • Lead project teams and mentor less experienced staff members
  • Drive planning and coordination on moderately complex remediation efforts acting as central point of contact
  • Consult with clients to assess the current state of data and metadata quality within area of assigned responsibility
  • Participate in cross-functional groups to develop companywide data governance strategies
  • Provide input into communication routines with stakeholders, business partners, and experienced leaders
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of data management, consulting or regulatory experience in the financial services industry
  • Subject matter expertise on data governance, data information modeling, and data aggregation controls
  • Ability to develop operational reporting and performing complex data analysis
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial industry associated regulatory standards and agencies
  • Ability to identify risk factors and ensure enactment of appropriate controls
  • Experience developing improvement processes and implementation strategies
  • Knowledge and understanding of Product Model implementations
  • Experience interacting with Agile Scrum and Waterfall delivery teams
  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment, as well as ability to work effectively in a team environment where flexibility, adaptability and collaboration across all organizational levels are important
  • Experience communicating and presenting complex information to multiple levels of the organization
  • Ability to articulate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy to create, track and monitor information and required documentation to meet deadlines
