We are seeking a Senior Shopify Plus Developer who will assist the Shopify Plus Technical Lead in architecting complex Shopify Plus solutions for our clients while simultaneously executing on the delivery of client projects.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Assist in designing, architecting and implementing Shopify Plus builds for merchants
• Build technical solutions and functional components using third-party technologies, frameworks and integrations that are secure, performant, scalable and maintainable
• Collaborate across the Maze team and with partner technology and solutions vendors to create and maintain integrations between backend applications
• Assist in the establishment of processes and best practices for web development, deployment, management, and maintenance of our Shopify Plus merchants
• Stay updated on Shopify Plus product releases and updates, including participating in beta programs, maintaining sandboxes and sharing knowledge across the team
• Guide and mentor junior developers

WHO YOU ARE

• You are generally an awesome human that values kindness, curiosity and intelligence!
• You have 4+ years engineering experience with a deep understanding of eCommerce
• Strong knowledge of Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process and methodologies
• Strong customer focus, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
• Proven experience identifying and driving issues to resolution
• You have a minimum of 3 years architecting solutions and developing on Shopify Plus
• You have a deep technical knowledge of the Shopify Plus platform
• You understand the differences between Shopify Plus and other popular eCommerce platforms to influence our migration strategies
• You have experience with headless architecture practices
• You are well-versed in delivery strategies and best practices for Shopify Plus
• Shopify Plus specific skills:
  • Experience with modern day frameworks (React, NextJS, Vue, etc)
  • Experience building Shopify apps and using the latest Shopify features (i.e. online store 2.0, checkout extensions, etc.)
  • Expertise in both frontend and backend Shopify technologies
  • Platform-to-platform migration experience (ex. Magento to Shopify Plus, SFCC to Shopify Plus, etc)
  • Comfortable learning and working with emerging technologies
  • Expert in Shopify Liquid and Shopify APIs
  • Expert in data migration to Shopify Plus and sync between stores
  • Knowledgeable about:
    • REST API
    • Frequently used Shopify apps for builds
    • Shopify theme development
    • Product setup and configuration in native Shopify
    • Admin API and Storefront API
    • Multi-site, multi-store native functionality
    • Crossborder/International functionality
    • Instance management and best business practices
    • Good knowledge in GraphQL
