Responsibilities
The Medical Director of Seattle Therapeutics (SCTx) is a key member of the SCTx clinical research and development group reporting to SCTx executive leadership. This physician-scientist leader contributes to translational strategy of new therapeutic modalities under development in SCTx and leads the Clinical Development team in all aspects of regulatory and protocol development and medical monitoring functions. The Medical Director will also oversee clinical data acquisition, quality and analysis and report out findings to the SCTx team. Additional responsibilities include providing mentorship and training of physicians in program lead and study chair roles as well as providing consulting support for SCTx clients within Seattle Children's who seek to have novel therapies developed and clinically tested through SCTx. Medical monitoring functions will include assessment of protocol deviations, adjudication of safety reports, and directing communication with regulatory bodies including FDA and Health Canada. The medical director also serves as the IND sponsor's representative for DSMB meetings and is a leader on the safety assessment committee. The Medical Director is the primary responsible individual for overseeing the development and ongoing maintenance of trial protocols, the design of CRFs, clinical aspects of the IND, communication with FDA for safety and pharmacovigilance, development and review of regulatory documents (includes IND and DSMB responsibilities that occur ad hoc, biannual and annual), and reporting to clinicaltrials. gov.
Requirements
Required Education/Experience: - MD or equivalent - Minimum of 3 years of increasing responsibility and relevant experience in Phase I/II immunotherapy trials, inclusive of experience in GCP/GVP Quality/Compliance. Required Credentials: - N/A Preferred: - N/A

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.

Seattle Children's offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
