We are supporting the Joint Staff Special Access Program Central office (JS SAPCO) and in need of a Senior Engineer at the Pentagon to provide administrative, engineering, technical, and other support services as required to provide planning, monitoring, research, evaluation, assessment, and documentation for the JS and other Government agencies. This effort is to provide administrative and technical SAP security services necessary to support the JS SAPCO mission. We are prime on this contract.

Location of position is at the Pentagon (Monday-Friday, core business hours). An Active TS (with SCI eligibility) is required due to the sensitive nature of this work.

Duties:

  • Support networks by updating servers and workstations; maintain all equipment; control system access; maintain configurations; conduct auditing; ensures accreditation is current; install, test, and configure modeling software; maintains all hardware and software; ensures compliance with DoD, DISA, CYBERCOM, and JS guidance.
  • Maintain two secure PL2/A2 networks at the TS//SCI//ACCM and TS//SCI//SAR levels operating on high performance secure computing environments that include Linux and analysis models such as the Joint Integrated Contingency Model (JICM), Thunder, Synthetic Theater Operations Research Model (STORM), and Extended Air Defense Simulation (EADSIM).
  • Configure and maintain PL2 Laptops that support short term studies or simulations requiring standup of small networks.
  • Ensure the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of configurations consistent with DoD standards by adhering to configuration management processes.

Abilities:

  • Must have thorough knowledge and demonstrated expertise in using computer software; i.e. proficient in MS Office Suite applications of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend technical documentation.

Education/Required and Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree
  • TS, SCI eligibility
  • Eight (8) to ten (10) years related experience providing network engineering, network administration, and enterprise management support to information technology environments.
  • Knowledge of and skill in implementing information technology in accordance with DoD Information Technology rules and regulations.
  • IT/IA Certification (s) and multiple information technology certifications such as; CISA, GCIH, CISSP (or associate), GCED, or CASP CE.
  • Linux Red Hat Certified Administrator or Engineer (RHCA/RHCE) preferred.

Pay: $125,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
