Schneider Electric has an outstanding opportunity for a motivated individual to assume the role of Senior Industrial Program Manager at our Nashville, TN, plant. As the Senior Industrial Program Manager you will review a large number of transformation projects which needs to be driven in GSC NAM, we need to create a strong Project Management Office to take charge of the following:


Project governance

  • Clearly define and setup project governance according to size and criticality of the project implementing
  • Maintain the project roadmap for current ongoing projects as well as future projects to manage resource needs & priorities and risk management
  • Keep track of all major projects being driven inside GSC NAM and help prioritize them according to business priorities and resource availability
  • Deploy and maintain Project Digital Tool across our Entire SC Deployment Portfolio for Project Updates (standard global tool)
  • Develop a Digital Project Dashboard to clearly track project status, risks and escalations.
  • Setup project stage gate reviews and validate the stage gate decisions with key stakeholders.
  • Make sure that project reviews are being conducted according to the cadence defined in most efficient manner
  • Interface with executives to define project priorities and implementation opportunities and challenges, and keep them up to date with project risks and opportunities
  • Oversee Project Managers for the delivery of projects/programs on time, within scope and on budget.
Project management
  • Make sure projects are being delivered as per the timeline and budget defined at DO stage gate
  • Help project managers on issues blocking their progress by early escalations
  • Make sure appropriate resources are allocated for each project
  • Make sure that all the required stake holders are involved and informed as needed
  • Make sure that all the mandatory processes are being followed by the project teams.
  • Manage the risk, issue and change resolution process, and work with other leaders to take corrective action as needed.
  • Collaborate on Standardizing Tools and Project Management Best Practices (WBS, Microsoft Schedule, Lessons Learned, Risk Management among others)

Resource management

  • Keep track of resource needs and availability of resources to manage project prioritization
  • Anticipate needs for future and make resources available according to those needs
  • Make sure that we are providing necessary training to resources according to project needs

People development

  • Use the assignments under PMO to train & develop our key talents
  • Identify people with strong leadership and good execution for step up, best practice sharing and mentoring other PMs.
  • Collaborate with Global PMO Office on PM Learning Plants & Edison Program.
Qualifications:
What qualifications will make you successful?
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply chain, or related field required.
  • +5 years of experience in a Supply Chain of a Multinational corporation.
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing and project management.
  • Clear understanding of the SE Industrial policies and practices.
  • Strong experience in Supply Chain management of technical commodities.
  • 20% of travel expectations at NAM level is required.
  • Need experience in driving strong & successful execution of projects.
