Assist and provide legal advice to the AXA IM business and/or support functions in considering all legal (law, regulatory and contractual) aspects of their activities as well as negotiate legal documentation.

Act as the main point person for the internal/external clients in reviewing, assessing and addressing legal issues in order to help AXA IM navigate in a safe legal environment.

Your role and responsibilities will include

• Draf, negotiate and advise on any type of document relating to the business/support functions activities involving AXA IM entities or its clients as well as issue appropriate templates.
• Negotiate, assess and address any type of legal issues related to the business/corporate activities of AXA IM.
• Management of a team of lawyers (where relevant) and of key processes for the function.
• Monitor and liaise with external lawyers and monitor of the fees.
• Advise on and implement legislative and regulatory development affecting AXA IM activity.
• May perform other tasks and projects as assigned by Local Head of Legal from time to time (ad-hoc requests).

Your qualifications and experience

• Qualified lawyer (bar or equivalent diploma relevant for the country)

Your knowledges and skills

• 5 – 10 years PQE (post qualified experience)
• Successful experience ideally acquired from either private practice or in-house, ideally from Asset Management.
• For non-English natives: fluent in English
• For English natives: French language is a plus

• Ability to deal with a diverse and multi-cultural group of people in different jurisdictions
• Ability to exercise good judgment and provide effective counsel under tight time constraints in a complex environment.
• Assertive and business solution oriented
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, team player
