Reporting to the Director of Global Learning and Development, the Senior Learning & Development Business Partner is responsible for supporting learning across all Manhattan Departments. Working alongside the global learning and development team, this position will utilize learning design concepts, practices, and procedures to create and deliver effective learning solutions. This role will consult and collaborate with the People Team and business leaders to ensure learning solutions are in alignment with goals and outcomes of the business and helping to drive a people-centered culture.
What You will Do:
- Develop and sustain relationships with business leaders, team members and the broader People Team to understand functional business needs and related performance gaps.
- Support learning needs and solutions across all areas of impact including onboarding, job readiness, technical training, compliance, career development, professional skills, and leadership.
- Function as a liaison between the Learning and Development and People Team functions to ensure alignment with other talent processes.
- Apply best practice learning principles to develop courseware that is engaging, targeted and learner centric employing the most effective learning technologies and program design.
- Collaborate with global learning partners, ensuring solutions are business relevant and globally scalable where applicable.
- Deliver high-quality training via multiple platforms including in-person, virtual classroom, and online seminar platforms.
- Manage existing tools, resources, and online learning to ensure learners continually receive the highest impact learning experiences – curate and tailor content to align with learner needs and business objectives.
- Track and analyze key metrics and provide recommendations to continually improve the learning and program experiences.
- Upskill internal facilitators in the business to help deploy programs and support a culture of continuous learning.
- Effectively communicate and implement initiatives to ensure quick adoption and ample support.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Instructional Design, or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in areas of adult learning theory, talent management, or comparable areas; experience in working as an L&D resource for functions
- Instructional design experience – Instructor Led as well as eLearning (gamification a plus)
- Strong learning delivery and facilitation skills
- Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with learning management systems (Saba or Workday preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - ability to present, train, influence, and facilitate.
- Proven project and change management experience
- Analytical and data management skills, with ability to translate data into action planning.
- A strong decision maker and critical thinker
- DDI Certification
- Proficient in Articulate Storyline or similar online instructional design tools (i.e., Camtasia)
Preferred:
- Experience with managing sales development and enablement learning programs
- Experience creating and delivering programs to develop manager and leader capabilities through formal and informal methods
- Advanced computer skills – Microsoft Office, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator
- DISC, Insights Discovery, or SLII Certification
