As a senior network engineer on the WAN/Carrier Services team, you’ll be providing and supporting the network infrastructure, platforms, and systems that support Progressive's business capabilities. In this role, you’ll be primarily responsible for network routing and switching configuration in support of our Voice, Cloud, INET, and DCI environments. In addition, you’ll apply your experience in network protocols like OSPF and BGP to support Edge Routing. You’ll work directly with carriers, vendors, and third-party implementation teams to maintain and troubleshoot our network. Furthermore, you’ll be working on Layer 2 concepts and will be troubleshooting VPC, VLAN, Tagging, and Port Channel. Moreover, you’ll work with tools like NetFlow and SNMP for monitoring of circuit connectivity.

This is a hybrid/remote position that will require some onsite visits to Progressive locations across Northeast Ohio.

• Associate's degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline, Math, or other related field of study and a minimum of four years of experience working with operating system hardware and/or software components in a large IT environment with many categories of devices, infrastructures and operating systems
• Instead of a degree, a minimum of six years related experience working with operating system hardware and/or software components in a large IT environment with many categories of devices, infrastructures and operating systems may be accepted

• Network Routing and Switching Configuration
• OSPF and BGP Knowledge (knowledge of routing protocols)
• Experience with Carriers, Vendors and Third-Party implementations, maintenance and troubleshooting experience (Cisco, AT&T, Verizon etc.)
• Layer 2 Concepts (Troubleshooting VPC, VLAN, Tagging & Port Channel)
• Experience with NetFlow, SNMP and Monitoring capabilities

Compensation

• $89,820-$109,780/year
• Gainshare bonus up to 30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
