Senior Professional, Benefits Accounting

DXC Technology is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our Benefits Accounting team. The position reports to Finance Manager and will be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of financial information. We need you to be highly organized, and detail and deadline-oriented with a demonstrated ability to manage several projects simultaneously. High integrity, attention to detail and discretion for confidential information is required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain various financial schedules monthly, which are integral part of 11-K SEC filing
  • Assist with preparation of Financial Statements and Supplemental Schedules for 11-K and Form 5500 filing and ensure to provide the deliverables within the strict deadline
  • Assist with retirement plan audit and provide the required information based on PBC list
  • Prompt communication of any discrepancies noticed, with Fidelity (retirement benefit plan custodian) and Payroll and coordinate to resolve the issue quickly
  • Work collaboratively across Fidelity, Payroll and Treasury departments to achieve the goals in a timely manner
  • Prepare retirement benefit plan (401K) contribution wire transfer template based on payroll report and submit to Treasury for timely disbursements
  • Monitor the daily activity with custodian and update the GL and facilitate the disbursements accordingly
  • Perform month-end close activities by preparing journal entries, general ledger account reconciliations, generating IC invoices and accruals
  • Point of contact for participants of various benefit plans, respond to the inquiries received, in coordination with AP, Payroll and HR

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3 - 5 years of accounting experience
  • Understanding or ability to understand retirement benefit programs offered by employers including 401K plan, deferred compensation
  • Highly developed excel skills and ability to learn new software rapidly
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and SEC regulations and their application to the preparation of financial statements
  • Experience with retirement benefit plan accounting for employee and employer contribution and deferred compensation plans is preferred
  • Prior experience with 11-K and form 5500 filing is preferred

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the DXC salary range for this position. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DXC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a vacation policy and region-specific benefits.

At DXC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at /near the top of the range. A reasonable estimate of the current range is 64,600.00 - 97,000.00 USD
