WHAT YOU GET TO DO
The Senior Project Manager is expected to manage multiple projects of moderate to high complexity concurrently and without direct supervision. Projects falling within the responsibilities of Senior Project Manager may have some, but not all, of the following characteristics:

WHAT YOU GET TO DO
The Senior Project Manager is expected to manage multiple projects of moderate to high complexity concurrently and without direct supervision. Projects falling within the responsibilities of Senior Project Manager may have some, but not all, of the following characteristics:
- Integration of scope from multiple Knapp subsidiary companies
- Integration of multiple 3rd party vendors (>30% of project scope)
- Managing of 3rd party vendors or subcontractors may have scope critical for the overall delivery of the system
- Expected project margins of <5%
- Moderate software development and integration of new products which are required to satisfy the contract but are non-essential to the performance of the system
- Projects of moderate strategic importance
- Projects with moderate to high contractual and schedule risk (unusual default liabilities, penalties, etc.)
- Integration of multiple new systems and processes
- Green Field or Brown Field Installations
- Reference project for a new product (PiE Robot, Vision Systems, EVO, etc.)
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Ensure all required communication between project stakeholders, Knapp resources, suppliers, etc., occurs in a time frame and to the level of detail necessary for a successful project.
- Coordinate all project related activities and ensure they occur in a time frame necessary for a successful project.
- Produce, distribute, and file documentation to ensure contractual requirements are satisfied and mitigation of risk to Knapp in the event of a contractual dispute is delivered.
- Determine which, when, and to whom issues need to be escalated to eliminate negative impact on a project.
- Operate and negotiate independently within Knapp policies, procedures, and directives.
- Champion projects within the Knapp Group.
- Develop and maintain good lines of communication with Knapp team members, stakeholders based at Knapp AG (parent company) or other Knapp subsidiaries, Installation Lead, and Site Manager on-site.
- Ensure all necessary information flows between Knapp AG, other Knapp subsidiaries, and the Customer.
- Have overall responsibility for all commercial items.
- Create, maintain, and track project budgets and schedules.
- Manage customer contracts and subcontracts.
- Coordinate change order pricing and proposals.
- Generate RFQ’s and subcontracts for major buy-out components and systems.
- Coordinate internal resources.
- Coordinate resolution of all project related open issues.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Manage project teams which may or may not include Project Coordinator or Project Manager I.
- Occasionally, be designated as a process owner for one of Knapp’s core project management tools (ASTA, Doxis, SAP, etc.).
- Produce documentation, including but not limited to:
- Meeting minutes with action items
- Confirmation of discussions
- Meeting agendas
- Critical path schedules
- Commercial correspondence (Customer and Supplier)
- Cost analysis
- Status reports (internal and external)
- Open Issues lists
- Occasionally, serve as a mentor to either Project Coordinator or Project Manager I, coaching on Knapp processes and general project management skills and advising on specific project-related matters.
WHAT YOU HAVE
- Basic technical understanding
- Overtime, as required by work
- Travel required up to 50% with international travel quarterly
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Passport or ability to obtain passport
- Professional office etiquette is required at all times
- Physical requirements may include sitting, squatting, walking, reaching out to arm’s length, reaching over-head, lifting between 50-100 pounds, and reading
