Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead, will be responsible for developing and executing software tests to identify software problems and their causes for sophisticated software; developing automated testing suites; working in an Agile software development environment and analyzing requirements specifications, attending usability sessions, and discussing software design and testability to ensure delivery of high quality of software; evaluating functional and design specifications and developing testing approaches and strategies that fit the overall quality objectives; designing, developing, and documenting robust test automation class libraries for UI, integrations, API and functional testing of the entire application; maintaining automated regression suites/packages that are compliant with changing requirements and features; participating in functional, system and regression testing of Web, APIs and SaaS based applications; and analyzing and reporting bugs.

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience:

Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and two (2) years of experience in job offered or two (2) years of experience developing automation test scripts to design reusable test frame works.

OR

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and six (6) years of experience in job offered or six (6) years of experience developing automation test scripts to design reusable test frame works.

Special Requirements:

• Demonstrated expertise developing or testing web applications using Java, C#, Ruby scripting, and Spring-based and Cucumber frameworks; applying design patterns in Java development; and integrating Java codebase with SQL databases.
• Demonstrated expertise monitoring test metrics based on business requirements; using JIRA for bug reporting following Agile SCRUM methodologies; and participating in the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including requirement analysis, design, implementation, and testing.
• Demonstrated expertise integrating Java codebase with database engines - Microsoft SQL server or MySQL - using Hibernate or Java Database Connectivity (JDBC).
• Demonstrated expertise testing multiple layers of web application - web services, API and UI - using Junit, SoapUI, and Selenium testing frameworks.
