Cargill, Incorporated seeks a FT Senior Scientist, Dairy Applications in Plymouth, MN.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Food Science and Technology, Food Biotechnology, or related field and 5 years of related progressive, post-baccalaureate experience. Must also have 12 months of experience with each of the following: (1) leveraging knowledge of dairy technology and research to design dairy research projects by identifying information, and technology needs for developing novel functional dairy products, ingredients, and packaging; (2) developing specific plans to meet regional needs for training in food safety and quality, including HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) and FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act); (3) utilizing technical expertise in food safety, dairy product and process development and improvement, quality systems and regulatory guidance to develop customer projects; (4) Working with published research, dairy markets, dairy industry trends, dairy ingredient functionality, and emerging advancements in dairy product processing to provide development advice and insights to customers through verbal communication and written reports; and (5) formulating, processing, and analyzing dairy and non-dairy products including experience with at least 5 of the following: yogurt, ice cream, cheese, cheese sauce/dips, frozen desserts, flavored milk, dairy protein beverages, dry dairy/non-dairy powders, and plant based dairy alternatives. All experience may have been gained concurrently. Up to 10% of international and domestic travel required.
