Key Qualifications

  • Experience in services and protocol testing working with HTTP/JSON/Rest API's.
  • Experience in extensive understanding of both frontend and backend testing.
  • Deep experience in API functional testing, API test development execution of automated tests and bug reporting.
  • Proficiency with programming in Python or Java and experience with UNIX-based systems for debugging, analysis, and automation.
  • Experience developing test automation with Pytest, JUnit, or testing and knowledge of data driven testing
  • Experience with web dev tools, server side logging tools (e.g.Splunk, and HTTP traffic monitoring tools(e.g.Charles Proxy).
  • Experience working closely with development teams in an Agile software development environment.
  • Strong problem solving and debugging skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to abstract technical details and effectively communicate to audiences at different levels
  • Outstanding organizational, interpersonal and communication skills(oral and written)
  • Comfortable and adaptable in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment

Description

We are the team providing Apple Media content and services to the world, and building the infrastructure for next generation systems. Our apps, serving billions of requests every hour, help drive products such as Apple TV+, iTunes App Store, Apple Music, and iTunes Store applications on iOS, Desktop, and Apple TV. We're looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join our internal tools QA team to test & automate workflows that our internal teams and partners use to deliver all of our streaming content in the TV App. We are seeking an experienced engineer who is proactive, detail oriented, and can multi-task effectively. Responsibilities: Create automation frame work for internal video tools testing Write and execute manual and automated tests that target AppleTV internal video tools. Analyze test results, troubleshoot, assess risk, and triage issues with different teams. Create and document comprehensive test plans for web-based and native apps. Collaborate with developers, EPMs&QA engineers to understand features in-depth ,plans prints ,plan test cycles, design test automation and analyze defects. Coordinate test plans among QA engineers, track progress ,and report results. Evangelize software testing best practices and influence architecture and design decisions.

Education & Experience

BS in computer science or equivalent experience.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $115,000 and $217,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
