Who are we hiring?

The Sr. Specialist will play a vital role in the People Partners & Development department and in partnership with the Senior Director of People Practices and the VP, this role will support the Venues People Practices team. The ideal candidate will have broad knowledge of the Human Resources function. The Sr. Specialist will provide key support to the business and liaise with partners in People Acquisition, Talent Management, Employee Relations, Compensation and Benefits, as well as People Operations and Internal Communications. This person will assist with the implementation of all People Practices programs and initiatives. The Sr. Specialist will assist the Senior Director People Practices, in the day-to-day coaching and counseling of department heads/managers, facilitate the progressive discipline process and ensure compliance of company policies, and legal employment regulations.

What will you do?
  • Ensure fair and consistent application of company policy and procedures, while promoting a positive employee morale. This includes performance management, interpersonal issues, learning techniques, the issuance of corrective actions, the development of performance improvement plans, conflict resolution and general application of company policy.
  • In conjunction with the Talent Management team, assist with the roll-out of customized programs to meet the needs of the functional unit.
  • Involvement as needs to support all investigations such as, but not limited to, EEO, and Wage & Hour.
  • Responsible maintaining accurate employee data and monitor this information on a routine basis.
  • Partner with the HRBP’s to prepare Org. decks for division leaders
  • Partner with the businesses and finance during the budget process to ensure job descriptions and comp evaluations are being completed
  • Review and track employee actions e.g., hires, transfers, receipt of disciplinary notices, etc. Prepare necessary paperwork, obtain approvals, and ensure timely submission to HRMS.
  • Assist in all employee life-cycle related processes including onboarding, performance management, career development, and offboarding process.
  • Monitor administrative policies and processes and work with appropriate channels within People Practices updating as needed.


What do you need to succeed?
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources management or related field of work
  • Minimum of 60 advanced educational credits required
  • Experience working in a human resources department, knowledge of human resources processes and best practices
  • Excellent verbal & written communication, organizational and time management skills required
  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Possess exceptional attention to detail and strong follow-up skills necessary
  • Must be able to deal with all levels of management with a high degree of confidentiality
  • Demonstrates integrity, tact, diplomacy and a commitment to company values, and HR principles while ensuring the upmost consistency
  • Extensive knowledge of HCM Oracle and ICIMS Systems preferred
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, work overtime and travel if necessary
