The Boeing Company is looking is looking for a System Design & Integration Specialist to support Location Based Services based out of Hazelwood, Missouri.

The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) team is a critical piece to delivering high value solutions to Digital Enterprise with high value to the company. The Information Technology IIoT team is looking for a strong candidate to work with functional and program business teams on developing requirements and specifications for the IIoT Systems team supporting Location Based Services (LBS).

A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaborating with business partners to interpret and translate complex requirements into well-defined functional specifications. They will effectively support agile teams as a systems integrator to efficiently deliver on software commitments enabling the business to successfully meet their functional and organizational goals.

Position Responsibilities:

• Leads others to identify, evaluate and document complex computing system requirements.

• Leads activities to architect, design, build and test delivery systems and components.

• Provides technical leadership to evaluate product usability, affordability, functionality, security and performance to assess suitability for integration into delivery system environments.

• Provides technical support and consultation for the implementation and usage of complex delivery systems.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 5+ years of experience working with GIS Systems

• 3+ years of experience using GIS systems for data collection, maintenance, and visualization.

• 3+ years of experience with evaluation of geospatial software for suitability in larger systems and environments.

• In depth knowledge of geospatial software, data types, schemas, and best practices.

• Familiarity with sources of GIS data, aerial and satellite imagery, and ancillary data.

• Ability to source, synthesize, and analyze geospatial data, producing actionable and valid technical results, supporting geospatial program activities.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor's Degree or higher

• Experience communicating with stakeholders internal and external to Boeing

• Experience supporting and leading project teams

• Skill in utilizing different communication materials (e.g., proposals, papers, user guides, reports, articles, promotional materials, brochures, web sites, presentations, speeches) to satisfy a variety of customer requirements and environments

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.)
