HOW YOUR ROLE FITS INTO BOLDT:
The Senior VDC Manager works with project team members to lead and manage the development and implementation of model-based workflows that support project delivery. This role is responsible for establishing process, oversight of technology, facilitating coordination, managing third-party consultants, deploying Project Technology solutions, and training project team members to ensure technical workflows are established, maintained, and optimized.

- Support the development and lead all aspects of adherence to our BIM Execution Plan, which includes file naming, file sharing checklists, level of detail matrix, object data requirements, and BIM processes.
- Setup and manage the software Autodesk BIM Collaborate Pro.
- Support our project teams in solving project problems using models and BIM applications.
- Facilitate conversations and collaborate with our teams regarding coordination and constructability.
- Support model-based data management process through the project lifecycle.
- Build Integrated Models in Revit and Navisworks and other software products to coordinate the building.
- Gap model missing scopes to support building coordination.
- Perform quality checks of model components for usability and accuracy.
- Teach our team members to use VDC and BIM software.
- Build reports on VDC and BIM progress to share with project leadership teams.
- Support laser scanning of in-field conditions, register scans, and perform variance analysis.
- Build construction logistic and phase plans for our Construction Planning. Content creation may include material lifts, cranes, and safety equipment.
- Work with the project scheduler to build 4D schedules linking model geometry to schedule activities.
- Lead implementation and training of Boldt’s Standard Technologies and ensure alignment with Boldt’s Standard Process.
- Lead our Strategic Technology Evaluations with corporate technologists and lead the administration of Boldt technologies at project and operating group level.
- Communicate fundamentals of project data management through project systems, including data extraction, processing, and visualization.
- Regularly meet and align with cross company Project Technology leads.
- Describe and communicate the effects of technology to our project teams, our project management and owners.
- Develop Project Technology estimates and forecasts, lead the technology budget over project lifecycle and support technology efforts related to the entire building lifecycle.
Required Skills
What we expect from you:
- Four-year architecture, engineering, construction management or related degree.
- Strong knowledge of design and construction process.
- Ten or more years’ experience in similar role, overseeing the development and implementation of model-based workflows that support project delivery.
- Experience with a variety of BIM applications including the Autodesk Construction Cloud, Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Power Bi, BIM360 and Navisworks. Any 3D modeling experience is beneficial.
- Experience working with Business Intelligence applications, Visual Programing (e.g., Dynamo), Automation Applications (e.g., Microsoft Power Automate), and Programing (any language) is beneficial but not required.
- Good communication, organizational and social skills are essential.
- Excellent organizational, supervisory, and decision-making/problem-solving skills are essential.

The salary range for this position is $123,900 - $163,600 per year. Starting compensation will be based on factors specific to the candidate's level of experience, qualifications, education, and geographical location.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to position objects and operate tools or controls. Employee occasionally uses computer keyboard. The employee is regularly required to travel (as vehicle driver and as passenger on various modes of transportation) and frequently performs work on-site at construction work sites. Specific abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Employee views computer monitor regularly. The employee is required to be able to effectively communicate while on the job site and throughout the completion of duties.
The working conditions of this position requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Frequently required to use personal protective equipment to maintain safety and prevent exposure to harmful materials. The environment for which this position functions may be exposed to prolonged loud noises and may contain scents and fragrances. May be requested to work overtime and weekends.
