Will provide food and beverage service to clientele in a professional, gracious and courteous manner.
Qualifications
- Must have a current, valid New Mexico alcohol server’s certificate
- Must have a current ANSI Food Handler’s Certification
- Two (2) years or more bartending and serving experience in fine dining
- Must possess a positive, cheerful personality with strong interpersonal skills
- Must maintain a high level of customer service awareness
- Highly dependable
Essential Duties
- Set upside station and performs assigned side work
- Place cushions on patio chairs; Sanitize patio tables; Fill the ice bucket
- Set tables with sugar, salt, and pepper shakers
- Set place mats and roll ups; Places flowers on inside tables
- Prepare coffee, replaces coffee, cups, and saucers; Polish and/or roll silverware sets
- Repeat process for the dinner shift as well as sets out clean tablecloths on appropriate tables
- Refill oil and vinegar cruets as needed; Fold napkins and roll-ups as needed
Serving:
- Greets and provides immediate attention to all guests upon arrival/seating, distributes menus and describes specials
- upon request, fills glasses with ice water while guests decide upon order; answers question and suggests menu items
- Takes orders and upsells when possible, while serving, sets bread and butter on tables
- Submits food orders from the computer into kitchen; Informs culinary staff about any special cooking instructions or guest requests
- Serves meal; places dishes by courses in front of each person; serves from left of the person
- Continue to bus assigned tables, while checking back to ensure guests satisfaction
- Replenishes water and butter as necessary
- Assist Wait Staff/Bartender/Restaurant Manager if needed
- Remove soiled dishes
- Suggest and serves dessert, coffee, and after dinner drinks
- Keep tables, dining room and bus station clean and tidy
Billing:
- Charge and verify specific client account number on the open POS computer system and on all final checks
- Verify the accuracy of all prices, charges, and serviced items that are listed on the billing prior to presenting the bill to the guest
- Present bill to appropriate guest for signing
Closing:
- Responsible at the end of every shift for:
- Printing the server report for all Credit Card sales
- Place chits in order according to Chit Report
- Complete all information on the Drop Envelope and deposit into safe
- Printing POS server report
Miscellaneous:
- Advise supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur
- Perform clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager
- Attend pre-meal meetings as requested by the Restaurant Manager
- Support all Quail Run Company Policies and Procedures; Ensure that all legal requirements are consistently adhered to
