Job description

The Server shall serve food to guests in 24 Hour Diner, providing fast, friendly and courteous service in a team environment, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction and contributing to the operating success of the Creek Travel Plaza.

Reporting Relationship

The Server shall report directly to the 24 Hour Diner Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Takes beverage and food orders, and serve to customer.
  • Computes bill, accepts different types of payment and makes change in a timely manner.
  • Clears and resets tables.
  • Ensures sufficient inventories are maintained to meet the needs of the food and beverage operation.
  • Must be friendly and courteous at all times, ensuring excellent customer and employee relations and adhere to the established Dress Code.
  • Must maintain a clean, safe work environment before, during and after service, in a team effort to maximize employee efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Take oral and written instructions and the ability to effectively communicate.
  • Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks in a friendly/fast manner.
  • Willing to work odd, irregular hours in restaurant environment that is opened seven days/week
  • Knowledge of inventory software and order processing systems.
  • Must possess a high level of maturity with leadership qualities.
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license or state ID.
  • Must be willing to cross train for all CTP positions as assigned by management.
  • Ability to comply with all other requirements as specified within the CIEDA Personnel Policies and Procedures.
