This position is responsible for providing the delivery of care and services to the youth at the crisis center and serves all with absolute respect and unconditional love. This is accomplished through supporting and implementing case plans with youth directly and direct supervision of Overnight Youth Advisors, per diem staff and managing the operational aspects of residential care.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Conduct regular supervision with Overnight Youth Advisors at the Atlantic City Crisis Center. Evaluate staff performance as scheduled.
- Provide and attend staff training’s and participate in leadership meetings. .
- Manage aspects of the kNOT (Neighborhood Outreach Team) youth response when assigned.
- Inform Director of Programs of all unusual situations affecting youth safety/security and program operations.
- Report and document in ETO critical incidents in a clear, thorough, and timely manner and notify appropriate leadership.
- Ensure that the residential units and all common areas are maintained clean and monitored working with facilities to ensure a level of maintenance.
- Provide adequate cleaning and hygiene supplies, organize and maintain inventory on all floors and respond to supply requests.
- Ensure adequate staff coverage to effectively serve the young people. Respond to call-offs while on shift and arrange for adequate coverage for the Crisis Center and ROP when needed. Notify staff supervisors when call-offs occur.
- Manage Petty Cash fulfilling reconciliation responsibilities while maintaining all instruments of cash or value in a secure designated location.
- Manage payroll and use of labor. Create and approve time-off requests.
- Ensure that effective case plans/progress is developed, implemented and reviewed.
- Provide appropriate documentation/maintenance of case files and ensure that intakes, discharges, and assessments are completed and entered into ETO and HMIS database.
- Ensure med counts and med logs are accurate and updated.
- Ensure file room is maintained and organized and all key documents are replenished in files accordingly.
- Ensure that the needs of youth are met at all times and that structure with flexibility is maintained.
- Comply with all agency policies and procedures and Child Protection standards.
- Inform Program Director, of all unusual situations affecting youth safety/security and program operations.
- Assists as needed with fundraising affairs and special events which may be conducted outside the employee’s normal work schedule.
- Required to check company e-mail daily.
- All other duties assigned by management staff.
- Applicant Must be available to work the following schedule : Saturday 10PM -6AM, Sunday 12AM - 8AM, Monday - Wednesday 10PM-6AM; Days off Thursday & Friday.
Experience and Skills:
- A Bachelors’ degree in a human service field or related field, preferred.
- Four years of experience working with youth is preferred.
- A valid New Jersey driver’s license with an insurable driving record is required.
- Excellent oral, written, organizational, motivational and assessment skills.
- Must Be fully vaccinated for Covid 19.
