The Role

Desoutter is looking to add a Service Sales Engineer to our Ohio customer market! In this role, you will be responsible for selling service solutions and implementing service agreements with our customers to ensure they are satisfied, and that their machines are running smoothly. You will have a team of colleagues who will look after your daily planning, make sure the right spare parts you need are delivered on time and support you remotely when you are facing more complex technical issues.

Travel: Extensive travel to customer locations, including out-of-town and overnight travel.

International travel may be required, including but not limited to, Mexico and Canada.

What we expect of you?

You will make your biggest impact in:

• Developing business by actively hunting new key accounts and developing current key accounts
• Promoting the sale of service and prospecting through to the close of the sale, in an assigned area or a defined set of accounts.
• Developing and implementing an agreed-upon area plan that meets business goals of increasing service sales to our customer base and improving customer satisfaction.
• Driving customer success through the building of strong customer relationships and the delivery of customer-centric solutions.

We seek your expertise in:

• Maintenance, overhaul, and repair of a wide variety of industrial equipment, including electrical, hydraulics, and/or pneumatics
• Robotics and understanding of proactive services is a plus
• Maintaining assigned deadlines
• Computer literacy as required for communication, research, work orders, and programming various controllers.
• Microsoft Office including MS Teams, Word, Excel, and email and computer savvy, ability to learn other software quickly.
• Troubleshooting and repairing DC electric tools
• Sales of industrial or niche products

To ensure your success in this role, Desoutter requires the following:

• 3+ years of technical experience maintaining and repairing various types of mechanical and electrical equipment.
• High School Diploma or GED
