What You Can Expect from the Role

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:

• Operate various sewing machines to join fabrics
• Quality check stitching to detect defects and notify supervisor or sewing machine repairer when defects are caused by machine malfunction
• Select cut pieces of fabric and sewing supplies to assemble garment
• Maintain machine

The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have

Essential Criteria

• Basic sewing knowledge and use of industrial type sewing machines
• Knowledge of template patterns and ability to follow sewing markings
• Ability to read measuring tools such as rulers or tape measures
• Good hand dexterity required to manipulate fabric through the sewing machines
• Educated to High School level or equivalent
• Basic reading and spelling of the English language
• ISO 9001 experience desired but not essential
• Ability to read blueprints is desired but not essential
