Position: Shift Miller

Shift: 3rd

Hours: Sunday – Thursday 10pm – 8am

This position will be trained to operate the flour mill efficiently, trouble shoot and light repair & maintenance on a daily basis.

Duties include but not limited to:

• trouble shoot mill performance issues
• inspect product throughout shift
• communicate effectively all issues with the mills
• follow all food safety policies and GMP’s
• specialized cleaning & maintenance tasks such as; working mill sifters, cleaning leg boots, filter & sifter sock changes, and other equipment cleaning as needed
• perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting tasks for all equipment related to the operation of the mills
• unchoke systems as needed
• monitor the entire milling process by making frequent rounds throughout the operation
• respond to process alarms as needed
• start up, shut down and operate all systems associated with the mills
• demonstrate ability to adjust roll stand grind for efficient mill operation
• perform analysis on all product samples utilizing analytical equipment
• perform all food safety tasks in work area
• responsible for understanding and following all personnel and equipment safety, and food safety policies (sanitation/HACCP/GMP/etc)
• ascend and descend stairs throughout the facilities
• interface with computers for data entry and process controls
• will legibly complete documentation for their specific areas
• wear required PPE
• any other sanitation or cleaning task assigned to complete to maintain our environmental, health, safety and food safety standards.

Other tasks will be performed and are generalized and may be asked to assist on other projects outside the normal course of a day. Those tasks will usually be asked to perform from his supervisor or management on occasion.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
