Overview:
The Shift Supervisor supports the MDA Security and Emergency Management Directorate (DSS) in managing Security Operations Services at MDA facilities located throughout the United States. The mission of the Security Operations Center (SOC) is to provide the highest level of professional security operations across the MDA enterprise supporting facilities, resources, personnel, meetings, missions, and conferences both nationally and internationally allowing the Agency to achieve its strategic goals
Responsibilities:
- Manages and supervises management and hourly staff to ensure access control, visitor support, and alarm response and dispatch operations are being executed in full compliance with contract requirements.
- Works in collaboration with the site Operations Managers , and Shift Supervisors to ensure all contract obligations are met.
- Supervises Security Control Center operations to include: Access Control/Response/Circulation Enforcement, Badge Administration, and Common Access Card Administration.
- Ensure all security personnel are properly trained and capable of conducting primary duties at the SOC.
- Provide first response & assessment of emergency situations (Red Cross first aid, Adult CPR, external defibrillator (AED) certifications)
- Conduct security inspections, respond to alarms, incidents and emergencies and provide assistance as required
- Other duties as assigned
- Minimum of a BS/BA degree in security, law enforcement, or management related fields. and/or equivalent training and experience; or an AS/AA degree and eight (8) years and/or equivalent training and experience.
- Six (6) years management experience preferably with a civilian police force, military police force, or civilian security guard organization.
- Eight (8) years' experience in security or law enforcement administration and substantial operations experience in the armed forces, security, police, or civilian equivalent or related field, six (6) of which is at the supervisory level.
- Six (6) years of progressively responsible general experience gained in analytical decision making and administrative work and activities at the executive management level.
- Six (6) years of specialized experience directly related to the work performed in physical security or law enforcement.
- Must have prior experience as a Site Manager or Site Supervisor on similar to size and scope to this contract.
- Have no felony convictions and no convictions that reflect on the individual's reliability including those crimes classified under the Lautenberg Act.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
- Required to adhere to all government agency guidelines as it applies to COVID vaccine Attestation/Restrictions.
