Job Summary:
Softrim is a leading Technology Services provider with offerings that include Low-Voltage construction and design services, Managed IT Services, Networking, A/V, Life Safety, Surveillance, and more. We have offices in Estero FL, Alpharetta GA, Dallas TX, and Raleigh NC with major clients all over the country.
The Shipping Clerk provides support to the Procurement Manager, doing tasks such as shipping and receiving, parts runs (pickup and delivery), equipment staging and order preparation, and preparation and management of company vehicles (including van maintenance, van stock and tool inventories).
Responsibilities:
- Properly prepare packages of equipment, parts and accessories for outgoing shipment using UPS
- Receive incoming shipments, unpack and check all items against purcahse orders for proper counts and inspect for damage, and make notes of any discrepancies as necessary prior to carrier departure
- Submit required packing slips, purchase orders and other receiving paperwork as instructed
- Stage equipment and put away inventory in accordance with standard operating procedure
- Assist with the offloading of equipment and materials from shippers as necessary
- Assist with the loading and unloading of materials into company vehicles
- Transport equipment and materials to storage centers, customer sites, etc.
- Assist with periodic inventory counts as directed by the Controller
- Arrange for certified recycling/shredding of decommissioned equipment when required
- Assist with warranty replacements and RMAs for equipment covered under warranty or deemed ‘Dead on Arrival’
- Manage vehicle maintenance requirements and records
- Manage van stock levels and tool inventories, performing monthly checks
- Manage misc. installation supplies and make sure supply cabinets are always fully stocked and neat
- Always maintain work areas, inventory placement and an orderly system for paperwork
- Always maintain offsite warehouse inventory, working with the Procurement Manager to use up what is there first, and make recommendations regarding non-usable, slow moving and excess stock
- Attend all required meetings and functions as directed by management
- Team player able to interact at all levels within the company
- Other tasks generally within scope as assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products is required; ConnectWise products a plus
- Capable of lifting, moving, and placing heavy items up to 75lbs as necessary
- Travel to various projects sites state (and nationwide) as necessary
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Graduation from High School or equivalent
- Valid FL Driver’s license with a clean driving record
- English language (fluent), Spanish language a plus but not required

Dress Code:
Softrim-logoed standard shirt, full-length work slacks/jeans with belt. No shorts and no pants with holes or rips. Must maintain professional personal hygiene and appear in clean clothing at the beginning of each shift.
Supervisor: Procurement Manager
Employment Terms: Full-time, Non-Exempt, Hourly. Eligible for benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, disability) and 401(k) after introductory period. Typical business hours are from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. with two (2) breaks and one (1) lunch, Monday thru Friday, excluding company-observed holidays. Some weekend and after-hours work is required. Local travel, travel to construction sites, and service areas local and remote is required.
