SUMMARY:
Assists Warehouse Manager with processing all shipments in and out of facility. Takes over Warehouse Manager duties in manager’s absence.
ESSENCIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Compares identification information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, or other records.
· Determines best method, processes, and creates proper paperwork for shipping.
· Assembles, fabricates, nails, binds wooden and cardboard containers.
· Unpacks, examines, records, processes, properly stores received goods and corresponds with shippers on damages, overages, and shortages.
· Picks and processes shipping orders to meet specifications.
· Operates lift truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

· EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
· LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as shipping and receiving documents, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports.
· MATHEMATICS SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
· REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in write, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, of feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
HOURS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Monday – Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm but times may vary due to need. 40 hours a week and overtime when required.
