Job Description: Shipping/Receiving Supervisor

Primary Goals: Lead the Shipping & Receiving Departments to receive, inspect, inventory and document incoming material and outgoing shipments.

Shipping

1) Train/manage the shipping staff to securely palletize and wrap outgoing shipments.

2) Confirm bindery counts of pieces and boxes and verify by weight count.

3) Produce an accurate packing slip to accompany each shipment with piece, box, skid counts and total weight.

4) Schedule deliveries to make due dates within specified budget. Quote multiple vendors and group destinations to achieve savings.

5) Request purchasing to order needed shipping supplies.

6) Inspect Forklifts daily and ensure staff follows safety procedures.

Receiving

1) Receive incoming material verifying it is the correct material and matches the PO. Forward signed receivers to accounting.

2) Place incoming materials into their proper storage location promptly.

3) Request purchasing to order press room and other supplies (excluding paper &ink)

4) Inspect Forklifts daily and ensure staff follows safety procedures.

Inventory

1) Maintain accurate inventories of paper, ink and other supplies. Tag and input materials into Monarch

2) Conduct physical inventory counts with accounting once a month.

3) Keep warehouse orderly.

4) Stage paper and supply rolls to the web presses as needed. Complete proper documentation for paper usage.

5) Coordinate pickup and loading of the paper recycle.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

• Warehouse experience: 1 year (Preferred)
