Due to our tremendous growth in 2022, we are looking to add a Shop Supervisor position at our Summit, MS Location.
REPORTS TO: Branch Manager.
- Verifies that work has been completed and all unused parts are returned. IRP processing advances following these procedures.
- Coordinates workloads based on technicians’ skill levels and availability.
- Track technicians time worked on job orders to ensure no overage on quotes.
- Monitor profit and loss labor allowances to ensure that all goals are being maintained.
- Responsible for managing technician response and making changes as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Acts as full shop and field lead when branch manager is absent/unavailable including but not limited to customer communications, quoting and time management.
- Primary source for ordering supply and consumable inventory.
- Maintain all PPE products for shop technicians.
- Verify that all employees are clocking in and out correctly according to HR and LMC policies for both payroll as well as work orders.
- Ensure that all technicians follow all OSHA and LMC required safety functions.
- Validate that all required software is up to date.
- Provides a quote to branch manager for shop work and obtains prior approval.
- Prior to necessary additional work, obtain approvals on quotes.
- Report all additional work to branch manager.
- Communicate with branch manager on the status of the repair.
- Inform branch manager of repairs not covered by warranty before shop work begins.
- Inspect all incoming and outgoing machines and develop repair recommendations.
- Provide Rental damage notifications and verify same is completed the same day a unit is returned.
- Operate machines as necessary to identify needed repair.
- Develop the following days’ work plan, with branch manager input, at the end of each day.
- Assist technicians with PDI’s as necessary.
- Make adjustments to the schedule as necessary, notify branch manager.
- Responsible for maintaining shop equipment in functional working order.
- Minimum 5 years work experience in related field.
- Minimum 3 years supervisory experience required.
- Strong knowledge of diesel, hydraulics, electrical and mechanical repairs/maintenance.
- Must have own tools.
- Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office, and our operating system.
