The Team In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in the hardware engineering team of the UCS.

Thus, you set your own limits for learning and achievements. We are looking for a motivated Senior Signal Integrity Engineer to contribute to the development of our next generation product.

Role & Responsibilities Provide SI guide lines and be responsible for System level boards, and connectors

  • Create and approve stack up of PCBs
  • Do necessary Simulations, measurements and validations
  • Help develop next generation of solutions
  • Proactively mentor junior engineers
  • Familiar with package and board co-design methodology
  • Has done Package and system level power integrity design methodology
  • Backplane design experience and analog circuit knowledge are preferred
  • Familiarity with high speed I/Os such as Ethernet, PCIe, CXL
  • Familiar with Memory technologies such as DDR5
  • Ability of working effectively with other disciplines a must
  • Excellent documentation, communication skills,
  • Effective interaction with other engineering discipline skills a must

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in signal integrity with MSEE, Ph. D. Preferred. However, education in other areas of basic sciences will be considered
  • Having deep knowledge of signal integrity theories, with proven track record in product delivery

Desired Skills

  • Understanding of Electromagnetics & High Speed Signaling
  • Hands on person who can do both simulations and lab measurements to validate the simulation results Assess timing, noise margin, crosstalk, signal loss and signal integrity of all clocks and critical data signaling and develop noise and timing budgets. Has done validation of simulations results using TDR, Network Analyzer, Oscilloscopes and other lab equipment Familiar with multi gigabit serial busses, including PCIe, SAS, UPI, KR, etc
  • Contribute to the signaling and interconnect technology selection
  • Definition and simulation of high speed interconnects using simulation tools

* Expert in simulation tools such as ADS, Hspice, Sisoftt, Ansys and CST

  • Not be afraid to take risks, and think out of the box

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%. Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
