Gibson Plumbing Company, established in 1954, is a turnkey residential and multifamily plumbing company serving San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, Houston and surrounding areas providing quality plumbing services.

Gibson Plumbing Company is currently seeking a Single-Family Residential Plumbing Superintendent. As a Superintendent, you will be responsible for ensuring quality and completion of all new construction plumbing activities in an assigned area within Celina and the DFW area.

Primary Focus Area – Service Quality/Customer Service

Responsible for:

Quality Assurance Walks – Verification of quality, accuracy, and completeness of work and confirmation of adherence to Gibson Plumbing standards and expectations.

Builder Relations – Be the “face of Gibson” for field-based customer representatives. Through direct and constant communication with customer representatives, ensure issues, questions, or concerns are addressed in a timely manner, changes or variances from the customer are understood and implemented, the customer is aware of changes in Gibson policy, standards, or materials that may impact him/her, and to communicate progress towards project goals.

Crew Relations – Be the “face of Gibson” for our crews (both in-house and sub-contractors). Provide direction through coaching and mentoring the crews to drive adoption and implementation of Gibson’s standards and processes to yield improved service quality, efficiency, and overall customer experience. Recruitment and development of new crew talent.

Scheduling/Managing Punch – Ensures assigned punch plumber is effectively utilized and customer needs are met in a timely manner

What does success look like?

A successful Superintendent will have a high level of crew retention. They will drive high efficiencies in their operations by maximizing quality through process adherence and minimizing punch and re-work. Furthermore, will improve efficiencies through active participation and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives in the form of process reviews, variance/failure investigations, and brainstorming sessions.

They will not shy away from a challenge and are able to effectively manage and provide clarity through turbulent situations. They communicate freely and often both internally and externally to keep all stakeholders updated. They have knowledge of, and preferably application of, project management principles.

Plumbing knowledge demonstrated through current holding of a tradesman license or above.
