Job description
Detroit Hispanic Development Corporation (DHDC) is piloting a new program as an Outreach Partner working with small business in Southwest Detroit, Lincoln Park, Melvindale, Ecorse, and River Rouge. Through this program, the Program Manager will conduct outreach to small businesses in the target communities, including disproportionately impacted groups, and further expand efforts reaching and supporting small, women and BIPOC-owned businesses.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Small Business Hub Manager is responsible for planning and management of activities and overseeing the outreach and support to small businesses in target communities, with a special emphasis on women, immigrants and BIPOC-owned businesses, making referrals to technical assistance and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Three (3) years of experience in program management and business development
- Fluent in Spanish & English
- Must possess a valid Driver's License.
- DHDC requires all employees to be COVID-19 vaccinated
- Familiar with small businesses in SW Detroit and downriver communities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate with groups
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Good project management skills, including the ability to work independently on projects of high complexity with minimal supervision
- Good judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
