The Risk Reporting, Analytics and Data Team (RAD), a group within Business Banking (BB), works with BB/Business Card Risk & Strategy, Consumer and Community Banking (CCB) and Wholesale IT, Risk Reporting, Finance and Data Management teams to provision, manage and control data used to provide internal and external reporting and analysis used to manage risk through changing market conditions, fulfill regulatory requirements regarding data aggregation and risk reporting, and execute controls. The team is responsible for providing complete, timely, accurate, and useful data on the credit risk generated by Business Banking (BB). RAD's key stakeholders include BB's Chief Risk Officer, senior Credit Risk Management, CCB and Wholesale Finance, and Risk Reporting officers.

BB RAD is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual for this leadership role, managing a technical & analytic team, working with our stakeholders, to ensure the provision and management of our data marts, requiring past software development experience, knowledge of system architecture, and have the ability to have conceptual conversations with our stakeholders, turning business needs into data strategy, high quality requirements and data solutions. You will be technical, detail oriented, and willing to challenge the status quo, push for improvement and have the ability to manage day to day controls and execute on multiple projects in a stressful and demanding work environment.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Working with Vendor Management on contracts, payment & provision of Bureau data.
  • Work with Strategy teams on data issues, controls and assess execution and resolution of correction cases.
  • Partner with BB Risk Reporting & Analytics and internal Regulatory & Finance teams to provision data required for Wholesale and ensure adherence to internal and Basel Committee on Banking Supervision controls.
  • Partner with CCB and Wholesale Risk Architects and Analytic Data teams on the design, development, execution and control of data in and out of Wholesale & CCB Risk applications and reporting marts.
  • Partner with other IT teams in the conversion of operational applications supporting Risk (e.g. CAMP, iSPRESO)

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Bachelor's degree with 7-10 years of experience in risk and/or financial reporting/analytics and IT development.
  • Strong people skills, with experience of managing small teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills needed for working within a team environment as well as communicating across departments.
  • Attention to detail & ability to multi-task.
  • Base technical skills, ability to read & understand SQL,translate to meet Risk & Reporting requirements.
  • Understanding of credit risk (i.e. traditional credit products and counterparty risk)
  • Understanding of the Firm's credit risk systems is a plus (e.g.iCRD, CRRT, APSTAR, VLS, ICDW)
