signature ingredient is Haitian Black Castor Oil and Moringa Oil. Kreyol Essence products are
formulated specifically for those with dry hair, dry skin and curly hair.

As a social business, we create work for over 300 farmers and women, plant to conserve the
environment and seek to empower the women who craft our products and the women who use
them.

Scope of Work Overview
Our startup indie beauty brand is seeking a talented and motivated Social Media Specialist to join
our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our company's social media presence
across various platforms, building engagement with our followers and customers, and executing
effective social media campaigns that align with our overall marketing strategy.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for social media and beauty, and experience creating
social media content that can tell a story and engage our customers. The primary objective of the
Social Media coordinator is to continuously create, maintain, and analyze the content on all our
social media channels. This position requires the ability to work independently, while also
collaborating with other members of the team to create cohesive brand messaging.

Responsibilities Include:

Social Media Management

• Maintain current knowledge of social media marketing and the usage and effectiveness of various features on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.
• Maintain current knowledge of design and beauty trends to ensure our brand remains innovative and relevant.
• Work with marketing team to develop long-term social media goals, monthly themes, and overall strategy.
• Independently develop and implement social media content and editorial calendars.
• Work with marketing team to ensure social media captions are informative and appealing, and to ensure effective usage of hashtags.
• Engage with followers and customers in a timely and professional manner.
• Create and manage social media advertising campaigns.
• Serve as backup to Graphic Designer/Video Editor to create supplementary footage for use on social media stories, reels, and other short form video content.
• Collaborate with other teams within Kreyol Essence to ensure cohesive messaging and branding.
• Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network.
• Assist Marketing Manager in identifying potential influencers and partners to collaborate with.

Social Media Reporting

• Define and understand the relevance behind key social media KPIs.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on social media and social ad campaign performance metrics using Excel and PowerPoint.
• Provide regular updates and insights to management and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience managing social media accounts for a brand or organization.
• Creative thinker with a passion for staying current on social media trends.
• Proficiency in popular social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Pinterest).
• A portfolio showcasing relevant work in social media and ability to maintain company aesthetic on social media feed.
• Ability to independently make decisions daily, problem solve and, address the best way to handle specific tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to take constructive feedback.
• Highly effective working cross-functionally, especially with technical and leadership teams.
• Comfortable working in a startup environment, managing multiple projects, and prioritizing daily workload.
• Creative and fun with the ability to understand branding + cultures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Strong email and calendar management skills (Microsoft Outlook)
