Position Overview
Fuller seeks an enthusiastic and skilled Social Media Manager with overall branding and marketing knowledge and a passion for planning and implementing creative, dynamic, and engaging social media campaigns within a higher education context.

The main objective of this position is to increase enrollment in master’s-level and doctoral-level degrees offered online and at our Phoenix, Houston, and Pasadena campuses through focused, coordinated, and strategic management of Fuller’s social media activities. To that end, the Social Media Manager will support the new student acquisition and enrollment process (from inquiry through enrolled student). The Social Media Manager will also lead the development of innovative and compelling social media campaigns that strengthen Fuller’s brand in a manner consistent with Fuller’s brand strategy.

These objectives will be accomplished in the context of a social media strategy that the Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing. This strategy will include, the creation of content, posting to channels, designing graphic elements, tracking campaign performance, and reporting on social media analytics. These efforts will work in support of Creative Production and Branding’s brand strategy, and in collaboration with colleagues and students across Fuller’s campuses to develop timely, branded, and student-centric content that supports enrollment growth goals.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage daily activity and posts on Fuller’s key social media channels; including Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and other trending outlets
  • Partner with the Director of Content Strategy to strategically develop and distribute content through online channels
  • Create social media content that reinforces and extends Fuller’s brand identity and effectively communicates and builds affinity with prospective Fuller students on social media throughout the enrollment cycle
  • Collaborate with social media partners across the Houston, Phoenix, and Pasadena campuses to develop content, share stories, and integrate messaging
  • Partner with Global Marketing and Fuller Equip to develop innovative postings, conversations, and marketing campaigns to reach and educate followers and inquirers about our programs, and other student and learner engagement opportunities
  • Grow the Seminary’s online connections and build relationships with prospective and current students, learners, alums, donors, and others
  • Create compelling content including thought leadership and community stories that engage targeted audiences and support prospective student’s journey to enrollment at Fuller
  • Monitor social media presence for Fuller, connecting and engaging in conversations in a timely manner
  • Respond to inquiries, direct inquirer to correct person/department or information on our website
  • Work closely with Visual Brand Manager/Graphic Designer and Web Manager to ensure a cohesive social media identity
  • Develop content that highlights Fuller’s faculty
  • Partner with the Strategic Events team to create social campaigns that market annual lectures and other key seminary events; including creating and sharing live content at events
  • Partner with Fuller’s Director of Public Relations to communicate external announcements
  • Supervise Fuller’s social media sub-accounts to guarantee Fuller brand compliance; including Fuller Texas and Fuller Arizona, Fuller’s Centers and Initiatives, and other accounts approved by the Chief of Creative Production and Branding
  • Partner with schools, centers, and other departments to coordinate social media endeavors and maintain brand compliance; including managing account setup and permissions
  • Work with the Director of Content Strategy to create and manage social media policy, strategy, and goals for Fuller
  • Stay up to date on digital marketing trends
  • Track, analyze, and report on social media engagement metrics
  • Engage with multiple audiences and cultivate social relationships with important influencers
Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing, advertising, public relations, communication, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in social media management and building online communities
  • Experience building digital brands, especially with colleges and/or universities
  • Ability to measure and report performance for digital marketing campaigns and make assessments against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Able to optimize content and technology
  • Familiar with the latest digital marketing trends
  • Creative mindset with excellent writing skills
  • Skilled in photography and photo editing
  • Skilled in graphic design
  • Collaborative with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to pleasantly communicate with diverse constituencies
  • Strong self-motivation and initiative, with the ability to evaluate and manage priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to safeguard confidential information
  • Proficient in Google Suite, Slack, ClickUp (or similar project management tools)
  • Excellent oral and written English communication required; fluency in Spanish, Korean, or Mandarin is a plus

  • This is a hybrid position primarily working from the Pasadena, CA campus with some availability to work from home.
